National Ride2Work Day is on again for 2015! This year it will be held on Wednesday 14 October. Ride2Work Day encourages and supports people who have never ridden to work, or who do so infrequently, to commute to work by bicycle. It also acknowledges the dedication of frequent rides to keep it up.
Ever considered riding to work? It's a fantastic, cheap, and rewarding way of travelling - and it sure beats sitting stuck in traffic, or waiting for delayed or cancelled trains.
Ride your bike to work on Wed 14 Oct and join Maroondah Council at HE Parker Reserve, just off the fantastic Dandenong Creek Trail, for a FREE community breakfast!
Location: HE Parker Reserve, Heathmont. Near netball pavilion.
Date: Wednesday 14 October
Time: 7am to 9am
A free hot breakfast will be served to all cyclists. Vegetarian and Vegan options are available.
Whilst enjoying your breakfast there will be the opportunity to discuss your ideas for advancing cycling in the municipality with Council Officers.
Use the hashtag #mccride2work to let your Facebook and Twitter followers know you are riding to work and coming along to our community breakfast!
Both new registrants and current participants can go in to the draw to win the ultimate commuter bike, the Cell Ultimo 2.0, so please encourage your friends and colleagues to register.
